Futsal Provincial Titles Awarded to Calgary Impero and Edmonton Rangers

Calgary Impero FC (women) and Edmonton Rangers FC (men) secured the Alberta Cup futsal provincial championships. This significant victory qualifies them for Canada Soccer’s prestigious 2025 Futsal Canadian Championship, underscoring their dominance in Alberta's futsal scene.

The women’s final witnessed a decisive 5-2 triumph by Calgary Impero FC over FK Viktoria, highlighted by standout performances from Sidnee Richardson and Amy Iwanicki, who each scored two goals. Amy Risby contributed the fifth goal, securing Impero FC’s inaugural qualification for the Futsal Canadian Championship. Meanwhile, Edmonton Rangers FC demonstrated exceptional skill in the men’s final, defeating Calgary’s Elite FA with an overwhelming 10-0 victory.

Rakan Yassin and Jeffrey Victoria led the charge with hat tricks, supported by goals from Rilind Idrizi (2), Stefan Gajic, and Carlos Echeverria. This win marked Rangers FC's first entry into the Futsal Canadian Championship. This year’s Futsal Canadian Championship is scheduled to take place from April 10-13, 2025, in Regina, Saskatchewan.
